Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account or using Finlusion ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Finlusion is operated from the United Kingdom and governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Finlusion. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
- You must use a valid email address for verification purposes.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Account use and restrictions
Your Finlusion account and subscription are personal to you and may not be shared, transferred, or sold to others. You agree not to:
- Share login credentials with others or allow multiple individuals to access your account
- Resell, rent, or sublicense any part of the Services or your access to the Services to third parties
- Use your subscription for any unauthorised commercial purposes, such as operating a competing platform or offering insights derived from Finlusion as a paid service
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass any access restrictions or subscription controls implemented by Finlusion
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of this section, without refund.
5. Subscriptions and billing
By subscribing to any of our paid Services, you:
- Authorise Finlusion to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis (monthly, annually, or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase)
- Acknowledge and agree that your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date
- May cancel your subscription at any time, but you will continue to have access to the Services through the end of your current billing period. Refunds are only issued where required by applicable law
If we offer a free trial, you will receive access to the PRO plan features for the stated trial period. When the trial period ends, your access will automatically revert to the free plan. No payment method is required to start a trial, and you will not be charged unless you actively choose to subscribe to a paid plan.
We may modify our subscription pricing, features, or plans at any time. If a price increase applies to your subscription, we will provide advance notice via email or through the platform. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
We are not responsible for third-party fees (e.g., transaction fees, currency conversion, or bank charges) incurred during your subscription.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Services. You may only access the Services via our official interfaces. Scraping, hacking, bypassing technical measures, or disrupting our systems is strictly prohibited.
You are responsible for your activity on the platform and must comply with all applicable laws, these Terms, and our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Code of conduct
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Incite or promote hate speech, terrorism, or harm against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- Threaten, bully, stalk, harass, or intimidate other users
- Disseminate false or misleading information, including impersonating any individual or entity
- Constitute personal financial advice or specific investment recommendations
- Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code intended to harm or disrupt our Services or users
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or Finlusion systems
- Use automated means (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our written permission
- Manipulate engagement metrics or platform features
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or take legal action where we believe there has been a breach of this section.
8. User content and trademarks
You retain full ownership of the content, data, and trademarks you submit or upload ("User Content"). We claim no ownership of your intellectual property. However, by posting or submitting content, you grant Finlusion a global, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute it in connection with providing our Services.
Finlusion is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". Finlusion does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for content posted by users. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
9. Financial content disclaimer
Finlusion is a platform where users may share financial insights, discussions, and commentary for informational purposes only. The platform should not be used for executing trades, selling financial products, managing client money, or the provision of regulated investment advice. Finlusion does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content.
No content on the platform constitutes professional financial advice, investment recommendations, or an offer to buy or sell any financial instruments. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on content posted by users or third parties. We strongly recommend consulting with a certified financial adviser before making any investment, trading, or financial decisions.
We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict access to content that may constitute an unauthorised financial promotion, contain insider information, or otherwise breach applicable financial services, securities, or market conduct regulations.
Finlusion is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide regulated financial services. Past performance is not indicative of future results. All investments carry risk, including potential loss of capital.
10. Platform features
Finlusion provides features including but not limited to:
- Posts and comments: share and discuss financial topics
- Reposts: share others' content with your followers (subject to their privacy settings)
- Alpha Rating: an engagement-based metric — this is not a measure of financial expertise or reliability
- Peer reviews: community-driven content assessment — these reflect individual opinions, not verified facts
- Disclaimers: post authors may attach disclaimers to their content
- Folders and bookmarks: organise saved content
11. Moderation and enforcement
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, limit visibility, or take legal action in response to violations of these Terms. We may, at our discretion:
- Remove content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or permanently ban accounts for repeated or serious violations
- Investigate reported content and take appropriate action
- Cooperate with law enforcement where legally required

12. Intellectual property and trademarks
The Finlusion name, logo, design, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.
The taglines "Get access to the knowledge that powers decisions", "Access to the knowledge that powers decisions", and "The world moves through financial insights" are trademarks of Finlusion Ltd. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or modification of these trademarks is strictly prohibited.
13. Infringements and DMCA
If you believe that content on Finlusion infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at dmca@finlusion.com. For claims under US law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), your notice should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- The specific URL or location of the allegedly infringing content
- Your contact details
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the use is unauthorised
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
We may remove content in accordance with applicable intellectual property laws.
If you believe content was removed in error or that you have the right to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the removed content and its prior location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, contact information, and consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or Finlusion's jurisdiction if outside the U.S.)
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action within a specified period.
For UK-based claims, including those under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, please provide similar information as listed above. We will assess your complaint and take appropriate action under UK intellectual property law, which may include removing or restricting access to the allegedly infringing content.
14. Advertising and promoted content
Finlusion displays two types of commercial content within the platform:
- MPU Advertisements: Company accounts with a Business Premium subscription may purchase Mid-Page Unit (MPU) ad placements that appear between posts in the feed. All MPU ads are subject to admin review and approval before going live. Ad placements are time-based (not targeted using your personal data) and are clearly displayed as commercial content.
- Promoted Posts: Pro users and Business Premium company accounts may spend platform credits to increase the visibility of their own posts within the feed. Promoted posts are always labelled with a "Promoted" indicator so you can identify them at a glance.
Neither MPU ads nor promoted posts are targeted based on your personal data, browsing history, or behavioural profiling. Ads appear to all users in the feed regardless of their profile or activity.
If you believe an advertisement or promoted post violates our content standards, you can report it by emailing privacy@finlusion.com.
15. Feedback
If you provide Finlusion with any feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Services, you agree that we may use and incorporate such feedback without any obligation to compensate or credit you.
16. Privacy
Your use of Finlusion is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
17. Availability and changes
We strive to keep the Services operational but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access. We may:
- Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
- Perform maintenance that temporarily limits access
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, provide additional notice via email or in-app notification.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Finlusion is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any financial losses resulting from content on the Platform
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
19. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion:
- All your posts, comments, likes, follows, and bookmarks will be permanently removed
- Your username will become available for registration by others
- This action cannot be undone
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Finlusion Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation, including financial services and securities laws.
21. Third-party links and services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources shared by users or displayed in advertisements. Finlusion does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and that third party.
22. AI-generated content
Certain features of the Platform may use artificial intelligence to generate summaries, suggestions, or other content. AI-generated outputs are provided for convenience only and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Finlusion does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content, and such content does not constitute financial advice or any form of professional recommendation.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
24. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Finlusion regarding your use of the Services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
